Who we are

Maroc-Foot is a football information site: scores, standings, fixtures, articles written by Maroc-Foot and links to articles published by other media. The site is published from Morocco. For any question: [email protected].

Data we collect

You can read the whole site without an account. An account is only needed to comment on articles.

If you create an account, we store your e-mail address, your username, your password (encrypted: nobody, not even us, can read it), the site language when you signed up and the sign-up date. We also store your comments with their date, and the comments you report.

Like any website, our host (Vercel Inc.) keeps technical logs: IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time. They are used only to run and secure the site and are kept for a limited time.

What this data is used for

Your e-mail address is used to validate your account, to sign you in and to send you a link if you forget your password. We never show it, never sell it and never send you advertising.

Your username and your comments are public: all visitors can see them once the editors have approved them. Do not write personal information in your comments.

Every comment is reviewed before it is published. We may refuse or remove a comment, and suspend an account, for insults, hate speech, advertising or illegal content.

This processing is based on the consent you give when creating your account, and is needed to provide the comment service.

How long we keep it

Your account data and comments are kept as long as your account exists. An account that is never validated is deleted automatically after 7 days.

A sign-in stays active for at most 30 days. The validation link is valid for 48 hours and the new-password link for 1 hour.

You can delete your account at any time from the “My account” page: your account and all your comments are then permanently erased.

Who receives this data

Only the Maroc-Foot team can see your account data. It is processed by our technical providers, only to run the site: Vercel Inc. (site hosting), Neon Inc. (database) and Resend (sending e-mails). These providers may store data outside Morocco, in particular in the United States or the European Union.

Cookies and advertising

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites, and to measure their performance.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a message asks for your consent before any advertising cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time from that message.

You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. To learn how Google uses data from partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you sign in to your account, a technical cookie (mf_member) keeps you signed in for at most 30 days; it is removed when you sign out. Another technical cookie is used only by the administrator to sign in to the admin area. The site sets no other cookie.

Links to other sites

Articles from other media open on the site that published them. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Your rights

Under Moroccan law 09-08 and, for European visitors, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete data about you, and object to its processing. You can delete your account yourself from the “My account” page, or write to us at [email protected].

You can also contact Morocco's data protection authority (CNDP) or the data protection authority of your country.

To create an account you must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent's permission.

Changes

This policy may change, for example when new services are added to the site. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
